Erection problems are more common than what you probably think and are actually increasing.

It is estimated that about 50% of men over the age of 40 may suffer some form of erection problem but they are too shy to approach the doctor.

Erectile Dysfunction can result from various life factors including bad habits and practices like smoking and excessive alcohol, to serious illnesses like diabetes and heart and blood vessel problems or simply because of aging. Nevertheless, it can also affect younger people because of excessive masturbation or the use of vacuum pumps and other stretching devices or from Jelking (hand stretching).

There are many medicines in the pharmacies that enhance the erections, like Viagra and Cialis, but they do not actually treat the main problem. In addition to that, the continuous use of these medications can cause tolerance or non-response after a while.

We advise all men with erectile problems to visit an experienced andrologist to get on top of their problem and have an effective and long lasting treatment.

The P-Shot (Priapus shot) or Platelet Rich Plasma is the newest treatment that has become available since 2013. It is a form of regenerative treatment that stimulates the stem cells to repair any damage that has affected the corpora cavernosa of the penis, which are the main components responsible for the erections. It uses the patients own platelets which are carefully extracted from the same patient’s blood with a special separator. It is then and after concentration and activation, injected back into the penis in special areas, under local anesthesia. This treatment, which is totally safe, has proved effectiveness in over 85% of treated patients with experienced doctors. It is now widely practiced in the united states and in only special centers in Dubai, that have had the right training and certification for it.

Stem cells for erectile dysfunction are now being tried in several studies but no evidence of superior effectiveness over P-Shot has been demonstrated until today.

Some patients may also require further medications or shockwave therapy treatment in addition to the P-shot depending on the cause of their problem. Other investigations including blood tests and or penile doppler may therefore be required, prior to this treatment, to check suitability.

Our highly trained and experienced doctors will make sure you get the best diagnosis and treatment. Free follow up is usually practiced.
